Biography:
Prof. Solomon is Tel Aviv University Professor and former Chair for Biotechnology of Neurodegenerative Diseases.After graduate her PhD at Weizmann Institute of Science, in 1977 in Biochemistry and Biophysics,she joined Tel-Aviv University. A world leader in Alzheimer's research and pioneer of the immunotherapeutic approach Prof. Solomon has the distinction of being the first investigator to recognize the potential for anti –beta antibodies as a therapy for Alzheimer's disease. She was awarded by Alzheimer’s Association with the prestigious Zenith Award and the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation supported her research in Alzheimer’s vaccines. She published more then 200 scientific articles in prestigious journals and have a respectable numbers of international patents.
